As the workday was coming to an end, Lin Nanxun received a bounty of bright red apples. They were gifts from everyone in the studio, and she held a full armful, nearly overflowing.

Ye Ning explained that it was Christmas Eve, and these "peace apples" symbolized safety and good fortune.

"Why does she have so many apples?" Ron looked at the apples nearly spilling from Lin Nanxun’s arms, then glanced at the mere three sitting on his own desk, a look of bewilderment on his face.

His own apprentice had received so many; practically everyone in the studio had given her one. Yet why did he only have three? And one of those three had been given to him by his apprentice because she felt sorry for him.

Ye Ning, who was standing by Lin Nanxun’s desk, glanced at Ron and kindly advised, "Boss, you’re an old man now, don't fuss over these things. I only received six myself."

Nanxun was the most popular person in the entire studio. She was quiet by nature and always greeted people with a warm smile. Because of this, colleagues of all ages and genders liked her—a level of popularity that couldn't be envied.

"Why do you have six?" Ron looked at Ye Ning with dissatisfaction. How could he be so unpopular? She had received six apples; why had he only received three?

"Maybe it's because I’m well-liked," Ye Ning said with a smirk, showing off.

Ron was speechless. They were discriminating against the middle-aged!

"Everyone, gather 'round! Meeting time!" Ron put down the apple in his hand, stood up abruptly, and walked out of the office to announce to those outside.

Hearing there was a meeting, Lin Nanxun quickly got up and followed Ye Ning out. Once everyone in the studio had gathered, Ron cleared his throat and announced loudly, "The company will be closed tomorrow. To reward everyone for your hard work, I’ve booked a farm stay. You can all go and have a good time tomorrow."

It seemed he needed to find a way to win back some popularity!

Upon hearing about the day off, everyone cheered, especially Ye Ning, who was particularly excited. "Great! A day off at last! Nanxun, let me take you to the movies tomorrow!"

Seeing how happy Ye Ning was, Lin Nanxun, though indifferent to the holiday itself, smiled along with her.

"I can finally get a good day of rest tomorrow," Xu Lili said with a sigh of relief. They had been so busy with the recent product launch that she naturally wanted to spend her holiday resting.

"Thanks, Boss, but I think I’ll skip the farm. I’m going to stay home and play video games all day tomorrow!" Xiao Qi said politely.

Ron’s expression grew even more awkward. He had expected everyone to be interested in the farm stay, but instead...

Helpless, Ron had to ask, "Is there anyone who wants to go to the farm?"

A silence fell over the room.

Just as Ron was beginning to feel dejected, a fair hand slowly rose.

"I want to go..." Lin Nanxun looked at Ron gently, her face filled with a kind and sincere smile.
