As soon as Lin Nanxun arrived, several colleagues in the studio gathered around her. Suddenly faced with so many eyes, Lin Nanxun panicked, hastily trying to hide behind Ron. Seeing this, Ron scolded the others with some annoyance.

“Look at you all, you’ve scared the poor girl half to death!”

Chastened by his words, the group stepped back a few paces in surprise. From behind Ron, Lin Nanxun timidly peeked out, blinking her beautiful wide eyes as she surveyed the crowd.

“Mr. Ron, is this the genius you mentioned?” asked a woman who looked to be in her early thirties, her tone tinged with surprise.

None of them had expected that the prodigy Ron had excitedly spoken of the day before would turn out to be a young woman who looked no older than eighteen or nineteen.

“She’s adorable…” murmured another young woman with straight bangs, unable to hide her admiration as she gazed at Lin Nanxun.

The unmarried men among the group, though silent, flushed as they looked at Lin Nanxun’s gentle expression.

“Behave yourselves, all of you—no bullying her. From now on, she’s my cherished apprentice and assistant, sharing an office with me,” Ron declared sternly after clearing his throat.

While the studio staff were generally good people, Ron couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy seeing how naïve his new apprentice seemed.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Ron. We’re a loving family here. Nothing like that will ever happen,” everyone laughed and reassured him.

“What’s your name? I’m Ye Ning, Mr. Ron’s secretary,” the girl with the straight bangs approached Lin Nanxun curiously, causing her to shrink back toward Ron again.

But as Lin Nanxun looked up, she saw Ye Ning’s gentle, friendly smile, and her anxiety eased a little. Remembering what the troublemaker had told her before getting out of the car, she summoned her courage to reply.

“My name is… Lin Nanxun.”

Her voice was still very soft.

“Lin Nanxun? What a lovely name,” Ye Ning complimented her with a warm smile.

Hearing the praise, Lin Nanxun managed a small smile herself.

“I’m Xu Lili. I’m a designer here too,” the woman in her thirties introduced herself.

“And me—I’m Wang Cheng, but everyone calls me Xiao Wang,” added a young man, scratching his head a little awkwardly.

After that, Lin Nanxun heard a flurry of unfamiliar names. Beyond the first few, she didn’t remember any of them.

Finally, the introductions came to an end. Ron led Lin Nanxun to the office, where a small desk had been specially placed for her in the corner beside his own.

Unfamiliar with her new surroundings, Lin Nanxun sat quietly in the corner chair.

Ye Ning, Ron’s secretary, followed them in. Noticing how tense Lin Nanxun seemed, she tried to lighten the mood.

“Nanxun, what do you usually like to drink or snack on?”

“Candy, yogurt…” Lin Nanxun replied. She liked sweet things, not anything too strong or spicy.

After a short pause, she remembered something else.

“And… black tea.”

She hadn’t cared for tea in the past, but the faint tea scent that always lingered on that troublemaker had grown on her.

“Got it,” Ye Ning replied thoughtfully.

“Don’t be afraid. Everyone here is very kind, and we all like you already. You’ll feel at home in no time, I’m sure.”
