Chapter 121: A Warm Smile

Seeing Lin Nanxun’s face full of warm smiles, Aunt Xu kindly reached out to touch her cheek and then said with a smile, “Miss Lin, you’ve finally come back. I bought you so many gifts. Come inside quickly and take a look.”

Hearing this, a flicker of curiosity appeared on Lin Nanxun’s face, and she quickly nodded obediently, following her off the car and into the house.

As soon as Lin Nanxun stepped inside, Aunt Xu led her to the sofa in the living room on the first floor. Several gifts were laid out on the coffee table.

“Miss Lin, look at these. I bought all these things for you. And this chocolate is really sweet—you’re sure to love it.”

Aunt Xu brought the items over, gesturing at each one as if showing off treasures, her eyes shining with satisfaction.

Lin Nanxun felt a bit overwhelmed by the dazzling array. She stood obediently as Aunt Xu wrapped a red scarf with white edges around her neck and placed a headband with antlers on her head.

“Beautiful, like a little forest deer,” Aunt Xu praised indulgently after fussing over her, handing her a small mirror.

Just then, Shen Hanzhi and Zhou Bei came in from outside, witnessing the scene.

Lin Nanxun held the mirror, curiously touching the “little antlers” on her head, looking adorably innocent and cute.

Aunt Xu continued rummaging through the coffee table.

“And these clothes, I’ll hang them up in the wardrobe for you later. But first, try some of this chocolate and see if it’s tasty.”

With that, Aunt Xu opened the box and handed it to her.

Lin Nanxun looked surprised at the large box of chocolates before her.

“So many.”

She knew she couldn’t possibly eat all this chocolate by herself.

“It’s not too much. If you want more, I’ll buy it for you again. Online shopping is so convenient now, and you should be able to find this kind of chocolate back home. Quickly, try it and see if it’s sweet,” Aunt Xu said with a kindly smile, as if looking at her own granddaughter.

At those words, Lin Nanxun nodded earnestly, then picked up a small piece of chocolate and popped it into her mouth.

A slight bitterness greeted her tongue at first, followed by a rich, creamy sweetness...

“So sweet...” Her face lit up with delight. Then she quickly grabbed another piece and offered it to Aunt Xu, wanting her to taste it as well.

Seeing this, Aunt Xu paused briefly before smiling and opening her mouth to eat the chocolate.

“Mmm, yes, it’s quite sweet.”

“Aunt Xu is really good to Miss Lin. She bought all these things for her on her trip abroad,” a nearby servant said enviously.

Hearing the servant’s voice, Lin Nanxun suddenly remembered something. She glanced at the box still filled with chocolates and then picked up another piece, offering it to the closest servant.

“Here, have some.”

She blinked, a warm smile spreading across her face.

“Thank you, Miss Lin...” The servant was a little surprised but quickly accepted it.

Lin Nanxun then moved on to another servant.

By the end of it, everyone had received some chocolate from Lin Nanxun—even Zhou Bei.
