121 I want to see you jump down!
“I need to think about it,” Dr. Yang said, furrowing his brows deeply, as if genuinely pondering something.
Then, suddenly, he struck his own head several times with his fist.
A thumping sound echoed—thump, thump, thump.
As if triggered by some sudden inspiration.
The abrupt motion startled both Feng Fa’er and Lü Hua.
Feng Fa’er quickly withdrew her hand, seizing the opportunity.
“I’ve decided. You’re going to jump from here and see if you survive,” Dr. Yang sneered.
“Jump… jump out of the plane? I’ll definitely die!” Lü Hua was petrified, his face drained of color.
He wondered if he had misheard.
This Dr. Yang wanted him to jump!
Was this man out of his mind?
“If you don’t jump, how will you know if you’ll die? Jump now!” Dr. Yang snapped.
“Please, don’t joke around,” Lü Hua’s voice trembled.
“Stop hesitating and get down there!” Dr. Yang roared.
With that, he kicked Lü Hua off the plane.
“Ah!” Lü Hua screamed as he fell.
From several hundred meters up, he crashed heavily onto the ground, his body no longer resembling anything human.
Yet the surrounding zombies didn’t let this heavenly feast go to waste.
“Meat pie falling from the sky!”
Feng Fa’er was stunned into silence, unable to comprehend Dr. Yang’s madness.
What was going on?
Wasn’t this rescue helicopter supposed to be searching for survivors, not killing them?
They had broadcast assurances of a safe environment.
Had it all been a lie?
Or had Lü Hua said something to anger Dr. Yang?
Wait!
Feng Fa’er suddenly noticed in terror that although Dr. Yang wore a white coat on the outside, underneath he was dressed in a patient’s uniform.
Moreover, the white coat bore the name of someone named Wang.
This man in front of her wasn’t a doctor at all—he looked more like a lunatic!
“You’re a streamer too. What challenge will you take on?” Dr. Yang glared at Feng Fa’er next.
Seeing his intense gaze, Feng Fa’er nearly collapsed with fear.
“You doctors are noble and great people! Even in the apocalypse, you haven’t forgotten to save lives. You wouldn’t make things difficult for me, would you? I beg you,” she pleaded desperately.
She grasped for every word she could think of, then her knees buckled, and she collapsed before Dr. Yang.
“You’re right. I am a good doctor,” Dr. Yang replied, apparently pleased with her flattery, nodding solemnly.
Relieved, Feng Fa’er thought her guess was correct—the man enjoyed playing the role of a doctor.
“But you haven’t done your challenge yet. How about you pull out your intestines and show me?” Dr. Yang said with a smile, maintaining his serious demeanor.
His words sent a chill down Feng Fa’er’s spine.
“I… I can’t… please let me go, Dr. Yang,” she stammered, trembling.
Upon hearing her refusal, the smile on Dr. Yang’s face froze.
His expression twisted into a sinister glare as he fixed his eyes on her.
“How dare you refuse me? No one disobeys me! You defy a doctor’s orders and must be punished!”
Like someone struck by a profound rage, Dr. Yang shouted wildly at Feng Fa’er.
He grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the side of the helicopter.
Thud!
Blood poured from her nose and mouth.
The pain left her unable to cry out.
She couldn’t understand what she had done to deserve such torment.
Only one thought ran through Feng Fa’er’s mind—
Perhaps she should never have left the office building.
If she had ignored Lü Hua’s advice and joined the other three instead,
Maybe her beauty could have helped her survive with ease.
But her thoughts were cut short as Dr. Yang grabbed her head once more.
One strike! Two strikes! Three strikes!
Soon, Feng Fa’er’s breath ceased entirely.
“Dead? Not fun, boring. Let’s find new toys. Ha ha ha!” Dr. Yang laughed maniacally, tossing her lifeless body out.
Another piece of meat pie fell from the sky.
All of this was witnessed by Xue Feng.
Though the helicopter was too far away to see clearly, he spotted two people being thrown out.
Using binoculars, Xue Feng clearly saw Dr. Yang kick Lü Hua out and then smash Feng Fa’er’s head before tossing her off the chopper.
“What on earth is going on? Isn’t the helicopter supposed to be rescuing people? Why kill those two? Did they find out they were cannibals?” An Xiaowei widened her eyes in disbelief.
She couldn’t comprehend what had happened.
And even then, she thought cannibalism wasn’t a good enough reason.
The helicopter crew hadn’t even entered the building to find bloodstains.
How would they know those people ate humans?
They certainly wouldn’t confess on their own.
“Looks like the doctor on the plane is mentally unstable,” Xue Feng said gravely.
Though he couldn’t understand why the doctor was killing people, one thing was certain—
That helicopter was definitely not here to rescue survivors.
Perhaps it was here to kill for sport!
“Ah!” You Haoyun suddenly covered her mouth, her face filled with terror.
“What’s wrong?” An Xiaowei asked, curious.
Had You Haoyun been frightened by the scene?
People falling from a helicopter wasn’t exactly new or scary.
They had witnessed far worse.
You Haoyun should have been used to it by now.
“I remember now. They came from Beishan Hospital. I think Beishan Hospital is a psychiatric hospital! I once had a classmate sent there because of mental illness!” You Haoyun finally recalled.
What kind of place was Beishan Hospital?
“Why didn’t you say that earlier?” An Xiaowei chided her.
If they had known sooner that Beishan Hospital was a psychiatric facility,
They wouldn’t have wasted so much time searching.
“I was wrong, Brother Xue Feng, I was wrong!” You Haoyun looked at Xue Feng with a pitiful expression.
She regretted not remembering earlier.
In truth, she had only heard of the place once and forgotten.
But she knew better than to make excuses in front of Xue Feng.
Wrong is wrong!
“What do you think would happen if a mentally ill person became a powered individual?” Xue Feng asked, his curiosity evident.
“A mentally ill person becoming a powered individual? Is that even possible? If it is, wouldn’t that be even more dangerous and crazier?” An Xiaowei responded.
