In the room, Geng Wei and Wang Li had already put their clothes back on.

Zhao Feng sat across from them.

He lifted his teacup and took a light sip.

"Speak. Who is the one behind you?"

Wang Li was still shaken, and she answered in a trembling voice, "To be honest, I really don't know who they are. I have never seen them before."

Zhao Feng let out a cold snort. "You'd better not be trying to fool me."

Wang Li put on an innocent, pitiful expression. "I am not. I really am not."

By now, both Wang Li and Geng Wei were terrified out of their wits.

They had watched Zhao Feng kill a man with their own eyes.

Though Zhao Feng had not been the one who struck the final blow, it had been he who erased all traces of the body. In their eyes, that was even more shocking than murder itself.

Zhao Feng looked at Geng Wei. "To put it plainly, your wife is a cultivator. Only a first-level Qi Refining cultivator, and she was merely someone else's cultivation vessel."

Geng Wei frowned. "What does cultivation vessel mean?"

Zhao Feng shook his head. "Nothing important. Just live well from now on. If trouble comes again, I'll handle it."

Geng Wei glanced at Wang Li, and Wang Li looked back at him.

They held each other's gaze for a long while.

At last, Geng Wei sighed. "A husband and wife are bound by a hundred days' kindness for every day together. I'll forgive you."

Tears glimmered in Wang Li's eyes. "Husband..."

"Mm."

The two of them embraced.

Zhao Feng, standing nearby, rolled his eyes.

With a flick of his wrist, he produced two jade pendants.

"Take these and wear them. Wear them even when bathing. They will keep you safe for life."

Geng Wei blinked, and in the end took the pendants.

Drawing a deep breath, he said, "Master Zhao, I owe you my life. From this day on, if you ever give the word, I will not spare myself, even unto death."

Zhao Feng waved a hand. "I don't need you to die for me. Just make it up to Xiang Lan a little more."

Geng Wei nodded. "All right."

Zhao Feng waved again, then leaped out through the window.

Geng Wei screamed in fright.

Wang Li patted his hand. "Husband, Master Zhao is no ordinary man."

Only then did Geng Wei recover himself.

He drew a deep breath. "To know a man like Master Zhao is my great good fortune."

"Mm."

After Zhao Feng returned home, he turned his hand and took out the Eight-Trigram Mirror.

He sneered. "Let's see who you really are."

He formed a hand seal, sending a flurry of incantations forward.

In an instant, the Eight-Trigram Mirror began to glow.

What Zhao Feng had just used was the Heaven-Mending Art.

Buzzing softly, the mirror shone and projected an image.

It was a temple, rich with incense and offerings.

Then, all at once, the image went black and cut off there.

Zhao Feng frowned. "A temple? What is so special about these people that I cannot see through them?"

"Forget it. I'll deal with it later."

"Right now, it's time to do something else."

He took out his phone and placed a call.

Beep. Beep-beep.

Click.

The call connected, and Hong Chang's cool voice came from the other end. "Hello? What's the matter?"

Zhao Feng smiled faintly. "Have you booked the tickets yet?"

Hong Chang rolled her eyes. "Why should I book them? Why don't you book them?"

She sounded like a little girl.

Zhao Feng was speechless. "You're one of the Three Golden Butterflies. You're rich. I'm broke."

Hong Chang pursed her lips. "And what about the ten million you swindled from Xiang Tao?"

Zhao Feng was utterly exasperated. "What do you mean, swindled? That was a transaction."

"Nyah nyah nyah! It was swindling, it was swindling."

Zhao Feng could not be bothered to argue with her. "Do you still want the Blazing Sun Stone or not?"

Hong Chang puffed out her small mouth. "Are you threatening me?"

"Yes. I am threatening you."

Zhao Feng mimicked her tone.

"Hmph."

Hong Chang huffed angrily.

"Fine. I'll book the tickets now."

"Then see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

Hong Chang hung up, booked the tickets, and then lay down on the bed and fell sound asleep.

Meanwhile, Zhao Feng also hung up and likewise fell asleep on his bed.

The two of them slept straight through until the next morning.

Early the next day, Zhao Feng woke up, brushed his teeth, washed up, and went downstairs.

By then, Zhao Jun and his wife, along with Xiang Lan and her daughter, were already eating breakfast.

Zhao Feng smiled. "Mom, Dad, Sister Xiang Lan, I'm going away for a while."

Chen Lan blinked. "Going away for a while? Where to?"

Zhao Feng chuckled. "A few classmates asked me to go traveling with them."

"Oh. Then be careful."

"Don't worry."

Wearing a windbreaker and carrying a backpack, Zhao Feng ran out of the house.

He hurried down the road, sprinting all the way until he reached the dirt road.

A red Porsche sports car was parked by the roadside.

Zhao Feng walked over and opened the door, only to see Hong Chang seated in the driver's seat.

He got in and glanced at the interior. "Not bad. Looks like you've been doing well. You even have such a fine sports car."

Hong Chang rolled her eyes. "Of course. The name of the Three Golden Butterflies isn't just for show."

Zhao Feng curled his lip, looking utterly unconcerned.

Hong Chang's pretty face instantly wrinkled. "What do you mean by that? Looking down on me?"

Zhao Feng hurriedly shook his head. "No."

"Then what do you mean?"

Hong Chang reached over and pinched his arm.

"Ouch! That hurts!"

Zhao Feng winced.

"Hmph." Hong Chang said proudly, "That's your punishment."

Zhao Feng rolled his eyes. "All right, let's get to the airport quickly. Don't be late."

"Hmph."

Hong Chang wasted no more words. She stepped on the gas and drove toward the airport.

Forty minutes later, the two arrived at the airport in Chenzhou City.

Hong Chang parked the car, and they got out.

Zhao Feng carried only a backpack. By contrast, Hong Chang was dragging a red suitcase and lugging several bags.

Zhao Feng was speechless. "Are you going on vacation?"

"None of your business."

The two of them entered the airport and went through security to wait at the gate.

While they waited, Zhao Feng began to feel hungry.

His stomach rumbled loudly.

Hong Chang glanced at him. "What is it? You're hungry?"

Zhao Feng rubbed his stomach. "I came out in a hurry and didn't eat breakfast."

"Then wait a bit. They'll have airplane meals on the plane."

His stomach rumbled again.

Zhao Feng's face darkened. "No, I can't wait anymore. I'm going to buy a cup of instant noodles."

Hong Chang curled her lip in disdain. "How uncool."

Zhao Feng shot her a glare. "Who says you can't eat instant noodles at an airport?"

"Well..."

"Hmph."

Zhao Feng stood up and headed for the airport supermarket.

He walked with his head down and suddenly bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry."

He apologized quickly.

Looking up, he saw that the person opposite him was a monk.

Zhao Feng frowned. "Hello, Reverend."

The monk smiled. "It's nothing, nothing."

Zhao Feng nodded and said no more, continuing toward the supermarket.

The monk also kept walking.

The two brushed past one another.
