The owner immediately pointed at Zhao Feng’s nose.

“You bastard, how dare you call Big Hua by his name!”

“Big Hua, my ass!”

With his hands clasped behind his back, Zhao Feng replied coldly, “Call Liu Dahua here and see if he won’t kneel before me.”

The owner’s face darkened at once. “Boy, don’t you dare leave. I’ll call Big Hua right now!”

“Go ahead.”

“Hmph!”

With a cold snort, the owner whipped out his phone and dialed a number.

“Ring... ring...”

Click.

A grumbling voice came from the other end, “This better be important, or you’re dead!”

Liu Dahua was cursing as he spoke.

At that moment, he was in the middle of some exercise with his mistress. Standing behind a woman, he grumbled into the phone.

The breakfast shop owner immediately bowed and scraped, “Big Hua, this is urgent!”

“You wouldn’t believe it, there’s someone here causing trouble!”

“I already dropped your name! He said you’re nothing!”

Liu Dahua paused, surprised. “Really?”

The owner nodded vigorously, “Absolutely true!”

“All right! Wait for me, I’m on my way!”

“Okay, okay!”

Finishing up with a look of satisfaction, Liu Dahua got dressed, left the house, and drove his black Santana toward the county seat.

Back at the breakfast shop.

The owner was still facing off with Zhao Feng.

Zhao Feng folded his arms, casting a cold look at the owner. “Let us leave now, and there’s still room to turn back.”

“Ha!” The owner spat on the ground. “You kicked me twice. I have to return the favor!”

Zhao Feng’s eyes were icy. “Are you going to move or not?”

The owner shook his head resolutely. “No.”

“Fine.”

Zhao Feng sat down on a bench, his voice frosty. “Since you won’t let us go, don’t regret it later.”

“Hmph!”

“I think you’ll be the one regretting it! Big Hua will be here any minute!”

Zhao Feng sat on the bench, composed and steady.

The owner stood nearby, arms folded, watching with smug satisfaction.

Around them, people whispered.

“Isn’t that Liu Dahua’s own cousin?”

“Yeah! That’s Liu Erdao! From the same village as Liu Dahua!”

“That young man and his wife are in for it now!”

“Haha, this will be fun to watch!”

Liu Erdao looked at Zhao Feng triumphantly. “Hear what everyone’s saying?”

Zhao Feng glanced at him. “So what if I did?”

“Heh!”

Liu Erdao sneered, “If you kneel before me now and hand over that jinx of a woman, I might forgive you.”

“Screw you!”

Without another word, Zhao Feng strode over and slapped Liu Erdao hard across the face.

A loud smack echoed, and Liu Erdao was left dumbfounded.

Clutching his left cheek, Liu Erdao stared in disbelief.

“Ah!” he shrieked. “How dare you hit me!”

Zhao Feng sneered, “So what if I hit you? Not only that, I’ll cripple you if you keep this up!”

“You wouldn’t dare!”

A shout rang out from the doorway—a figure entered. It was Liu Dahua.

But at that moment, he froze.

Liu Dahua stared in shock at Zhao Feng, “It’s you?!”

Zhao Feng stood, arms folded, a mocking smile on his lips. “Liu Dahua, it’s been a while!”

But this time, Liu Dahua didn’t cower as he once did.

He snorted, “You think you can call me by name? Kneel and beg forgiveness!”

Zhao Feng frowned, “You’re acting strangely today, Liu Dahua.”

“Hmph!” Liu Dahua replied smugly, “This is how I’ve always been. Maybe you’re the one who’s not right in the head?”

Zhao Feng’s face darkened.

His gaze grew chilling. “Liu Dahua, if you kneel and apologize now, I might still forgive you.”

“Silence!” Liu Erdao bellowed from the side. “Is that any way to speak to Big Hua?”

Zhao Feng shot him a cold glance. “This has nothing to do with you. If you keep interfering, I won’t hesitate to cripple you.”

“Hmph!”

Liu Erdao sneered, “Now that Big Hua’s here, you’re still so cocky? You must have a death wish!”

Zhao Feng looked coldly at Liu Dahua. “I’ll give you one more chance.”

Inside, Liu Dahua swallowed nervously.

In truth, he was scared to death. But he decided to stand his ground.

He had a new backer now—someone who had changed the fate of Chenzhou.

Puffing out his chest, Liu Dahua said, “Take my advice—kneel and apologize now, and you might be spared.”

Zhao Feng’s patience snapped.

He stepped forward. “Well, Liu Dahua, you’ve grown bold.”

“Hmph! This matter isn’t over—”

Before Liu Dahua could finish, Zhao Feng kicked him square in the groin.

A howl of pain burst from Liu Dahua.

He clutched his crotch, screaming in agony, hopping in place.

“Hmph! Liu Dahua, weren’t you so tough just now?”

Liu Dahua’s face was deathly pale. Only after a long while did his pain subside.

Furious, he pointed at Zhao Feng. “Just you wait!”

Zhao Feng sat down again. “Fine, I’ll wait! Let’s see what you’ve got.”

Liu Dahua pulled out his phone and dialed another number.

He bowed and scraped, murmuring, “Yes, yes! I’ll wait for you here!”

After hanging up, he snorted, “You probably don’t know, but the power in Chenzhou has changed hands!”

Zhao Feng let out a mirthless laugh, but said nothing.

“Hmph!” said Liu Dahua, “A country bumpkin like you wouldn’t know. Chenzhou is no longer under the Xiang family’s control!”

Zhao Feng sneered, “And what of it?”

“Keep talking tough!” Liu Dahua whistled.

Zhao Feng checked the time—it was already ten in the morning.

He had to get to the construction site, as the manager would already be there. If he was late, he’d miss him.

Besides, it was almost time for his appointment with Liu Li.

Standing up, Zhao Feng took Xiang Lan’s hand. “Let’s go.”

“Alright!”

“Stop!” Liu Dahua blocked their way.

Zhao Feng’s face turned cold.

A cruel aura emanated from him, chilling every inch of his being.

He stared at Liu Dahua. “You’d better move aside now.”

“I won’t—”

Smack!

Zhao Feng slapped him hard. “You piece of trash!”

Dazed, Liu Dahua spun in place several times.

He was bewildered, staring into space. “You hit me again...”

“Ahhh!” Liu Dahua shrieked, “Zhao, I won’t let you get away with this!”

Zhao Feng looked at him with icy indifference. “You don’t even call me Brother Feng now, do you?”
