Chapter 060: Vivi Appears
“Ring ring ring!!”
The phone rang.
Zhao Feng glanced at the screen—just as he expected, it was Yuan Jie calling.
Without hesitation, Zhao Feng answered the call.
“Hello? Zhao Feng, there’s news!”
A knowing smile played at the corners of Zhao Feng’s lips.
“Good!”
“Very good!”
He nodded repeatedly.
After hanging up, Zhao Feng took a deep breath, his face returning to a mask of icy indifference.
“Li Ping, we’re heading to Vivi’s nightclub!”
Li Ping paused, surprised. “Brother Feng, why go to Vivi’s nightclub now, of all times?”
“Your sister is at Vivi’s nightclub!”
“What??”
Li Ping stared at Zhao Feng, a mixture of anger and shock in his eyes. “How could she be at Vivi’s nightclub??”
Zhao Feng waved his hand dismissively. “Enough, let’s go!”
“Alright!”
Without another word, Li Ping slammed his foot on the accelerator.
The engine roared, and the car shot forward like a bullet.
Li Ping drove the business car as if it were a sports car, weaving wildly through the streets. Within just twenty minutes, they arrived at Vivi’s nightclub.
Li Ping was seething with anger. He didn’t even bother looking for a parking spot; instead, he pulled up right in front of the revolving glass doors, blocking the entrance completely.
On duty that night were Big Mao and Little Mao, who blinked in confusion.
“Who is that? Coming in with such flair?”
“Could it be someone important?”
“Maybe it’s Young Master Xiang?”
“It must be! Only Young Master Xiang would make such a grand entrance!”
Big Mao and Little Mao hurriedly straightened themselves and rushed over, ready to open the car door.
Just as they approached, a long leg emerged from the car.
Big Mao exclaimed in surprise, “Such long legs—it must be Young Master Xiang!”
“Exactly!”
But as the figure stepped out, their expressions instantly shifted from astonishment to terror.
“Wh-why is it him?”
Zhao Feng stepped out, his face expressionless. He reached out his long arm and seized Little Mao by the neck, lifting him effortlessly from the car.
“I didn’t expect anyone to break my acupoint technique! True, I was only using it casually, but not just anyone could undo it.”
“It seems Vivi went to great lengths!”
“Speak! Where is Vivi? Take me to that wretched woman!”
Little Mao gasped out, words broken by fear, “S-spare me!”
“Hmph!”
Zhao Feng threw him hard against the car.
Turning to Big Mao, his face dark and cold, Zhao Feng said, “The two of you are testing my patience.”
Big Mao trembled, petrified—he had seen Zhao Feng’s terrifying methods before.
After what happened to Little Mao last time, and knowing how hard Vivi had tried to find a master to help her, he was truly frightened.
Big Mao instantly fell to his knees. “Spare… spare me, please!”
Zhao Feng’s face was shrouded in shadow, his features unreadable. Tall and broad-shouldered, hands clasped behind his back, dressed sharply, he exuded an unfathomable aura.
“I’ll count to three. If Vivi doesn’t show herself, then you can both consider yourselves dead.”
Zhao Feng slowly closed his eyes. “One!”
“Spare us, Brother Zhao, spare us!”
“Two!”
“Please, show mercy!”
Big Mao was now banging his head on the ground in desperation.
But Zhao Feng remained unmoved, cold as ice.
“Three!”
“Sir, since you’ve come to my territory, why not come inside and have a seat?” A seductive, enchanting voice rang out.
Zhao Feng opened his eyes to see a woman standing three meters away.
She wore her long hair straight and a black dress that gave her an air of cool nobility.
Yet her appearance didn’t match the sultry tone of her voice in the slightest.
Coldly, Zhao Feng spoke. “You’re Vivi?”
Vivi nodded. “Indeed, I am.”
“Hmph!”
Zhao Feng sneered. “This isn’t ancient times. Drop the act.”
Vivi laughed. “I’ve heard much about you, Young Master Zhao. I must admit, I’m impressed to finally see you in person.”
Zhao Feng smirked. “I’ve long heard of the legendary Three Golden Butterflies of Huai’an County, but upon meeting you, I find you quite ordinary—just another pretty face.”
Vivi’s brows knitted in displeasure. “You dare call me ordinary?”
Zhao Feng scoffed. “And what? Do you think yourself noble? ‘Lady Vivi’?”
Vivi shook her head, then suddenly sneered. “Truth is, when I made my name, you were still getting beat up at school.”
She stared intently at Zhao Feng’s face, searching for a reaction.
But Zhao Feng’s expression remained utterly impassive, as if her words had nothing to do with him.
Vivi frowned again.
“Are you finished?” Zhao Feng asked coldly.
Vivi nodded. “I’m finished.”
“Hmph!”
Zhao Feng snorted. “If you’re done, hand over the person, then prepare to die.”
“How arrogant!” Vivi shot back.
Zhao Feng said nothing, only fixing her with a frosty stare.
They faced off in silence for about two minutes before Vivi finally spoke. “Zhao Feng, is it? I’m working for Young Master Xiang.”
The implication was clear.
“And?” Zhao Feng asked coolly.
A sly smile played on Vivi’s lips. “Young Master Xiang sees your talent. He wants to invite you to make money together.”
Before Zhao Feng could reply, Vivi went on, “Your previous conflict was just a trivial matter. Like children fighting, nothing serious. Making money together is what really matters.”
Zhao Feng remained silent.
Suddenly, Zhao Feng asked, “You were the one who disfigured Xia Lin, weren’t you?”
The words struck like a thunderclap—Vivi’s face twisted into a snarl.
“Did Xia Lin tell you?” she hissed.
Zhao Feng shook his head. “I guessed.”
Vivi’s face contorted into a mask of fury, almost demonic. Her voice sharpened to a shriek. “That wretched Xia Lin—one day, she’ll suffer a fate worse than death!”
Seeing Vivi’s reaction, Zhao Feng actually felt a sense of relief. To be honest, he wasn’t afraid of Xiang Tao. In the end, Xiang Tao was just an ordinary man.
What Zhao Feng was truly curious about was the master Vivi had found—the one who had managed to break his acupoint technique.
After all, Zhao Feng’s skills were learned from the Immortal Sect; how could anyone break them?
Could the other party also be from the Immortal Sect? Impossible.
Members of the Immortal Sect were forbidden from entering the mortal world. The only reason Zhao Feng could move between realms was because, before their demise, the entire Yaoji Sect had combined their power to leave him a way out…
Zhao Feng stroked his chin. “Vivi, I’ll give you a chance. Bring out the one who broke my acupoint technique, and I’ll let you die with dignity.”
Vivi’s face calmed, her eyes fixed on Zhao Feng. “Promise me one thing.”
Zhao Feng shook his head resolutely. “You’re in no position to bargain with me.”
“You—!” Vivi was at a loss for words.
Just as Vivi was about to reply, a voice rang out, “No need to call—I have arrived!”
