"Hahaha!" Zhao Feng let out a wild, uninhibited laugh. "As expected, only a beautiful woman can resolve my troubles!"

"Hmph!" Zhao Feng snorted, refusing to be outdone. He reached out and grabbed Hong Chang by the ankle once more. He was venting all the frustration he had suffered at the hands of Wang Xiaoyun onto her.

Caught by the ankle, Hong Chang felt both embarrassed and furious. "You dog, Zhao Feng! Have you grown a pair of guts today?"

"Hehehe!" Zhao Feng grinned. "I haven't eaten any bear or leopard guts! I've only tasted the heart of a beauty!"

"Ugh!" Hong Chang made a retching sound. "My god, I really underestimated you. To think you could say something so disgusting!"

"Nyah!" Zhao Feng made a face and darted away instantly, leaving Hong Chang feeling both humiliated and enraged.

"Hmph!" Hong Chang touched her red lips with an angry huff before putting on her clothes and returning to the cottage. When she arrived, Zhao Feng was sitting on a stool, sipping tea. Seeing him like that made her blood boil.

"You still have the nerve to drink tea?"

Zhao Feng raised an eyebrow. "Why? Not allowed to drink tea? My little sweetheart?"

"Ugh!" Hong Chang gagged. "Shut up, you greasy man!"

Zhao Feng rolled his eyes. "I'm not wasting time with you. I called you so many times, why didn't you answer?"

"I..." Hong Chang was speechless, her pretty face flushing instantly.

Zhao Feng frowned. "What? Are you hiding something from me?"

"No, no!" Hong Chang shook her head hurriedly.

Zhao Feng stood up and leaned in close. "You're acting strange. Very strange."

Hong Chang shook her head repeatedly. "No, really, I'm not!"

"Give me your phone, let me see!"

"No!" Hong Chang refused.

"Hmph!" Zhao Feng, too lazy to argue, reached straight into her coat. Hong Chang countered with a palm strike.

"Oh! Getting feisty, are we?" Zhao Feng was quick; he grabbed her wrist. With a simple application of spiritual energy, he caused the energy within Hong Chang's body to instantly contract.

"Oof!" Hong Chang was startled. "My spiritual energy!"

"Hehehe!" Zhao Feng gave a cold smile and snatched her phone. He aimed the screen at her face, successfully unlocking it via facial recognition.

"Give it back!" Hong Chang was mortified.

Zhao Feng curled his lip and began scrolling through her WeChat. He was stunned by what he saw. "I never would have guessed—you're quite the player!"

"You! Give it back!"

Her WeChat contact list was filled entirely with handsome single men nearby, and every single one had a chat history with over 99 messages. Zhao Feng clicked on one at random. A soft, sugary voice played: "Handsome, handsome, are you there? I'm single and available!"

"Eww!" Zhao Feng shuddered. "I never imagined such a sugary voice could come from you!"

"Give it back!" Hong Chang was furious, but she remained pinned by his grip on her wrist, her spiritual energy suppressed.

Zhao Feng clicked on another. "Are you there, baby? My little toy boy!" This time, Hong Chang’s voice sounded like a mature, dominant woman.

Zhao Feng was speechless and rolled his eyes. "I never expected this! So that's how cultivation can be used! I've learned something today, truly!"

Hong Chang had been using her spiritual energy to alter her vocal cords to produce those voices. She was so ashamed she wanted to crawl into a hole.

Zhao Feng stopped mocking her and released her wrist. Hong Chang snorted, choosing not to make a scene. Zhao Feng rubbed his nose; in truth, he had been a little worried she might start a fight.

"Let's talk business," Hong Chang said. Seeing her recover so quickly made Zhao Feng feel unsettled.

"Ahem!" Zhao Feng gave a performative cough. "Look, sorry about that earlier."

Hong Chang waved a hand. "Just get on with it!"

"Right!" Just as Zhao Feng was about to discuss the Extreme Yang Sea Eye, her phone rang. She glanced at it and hurriedly muted it. Zhao Feng was suspicious; he caught a glimpse of the name "Xiao Dan" on the screen.

He frowned. "Li Dan is calling you, why aren't you answering?"

Hong Chang looked nervous and scrambled to pick up the phone. "Oh? Is it Xiao Dan? I thought it might be someone with the same name!"

Zhao Feng rolled his eyes internally. He snatched the phone and pressed answer. Before he could speak, Li Dan’s voice came through: "Xiao Hong, I found the pictures you asked for!"

Zhao Feng glanced at Hong Chang, who was covering her face in shame. Zhao Feng gave a cold smile and used his spiritual energy to change his voice. "What pictures??"

Li Dan’s voice chattered on the other end: "The ones of the muscular hunks! You asked me to find them! Don't let Zhao Feng know about this, or he'll blame me!"

"Hehehe!" Zhao Feng mimicked Hong Chang’s voice. "Don't worry, he won't!"

"Okay, I'm sending them now!"

"Great!" Zhao Feng hung up. He crossed his arms and teased, "Not bad, Hong Chang. I never thought you had such hobbies!"

Hong Chang hid her face, wishing she could disappear into the floor. Zhao Feng stopped there, deciding not to push it further. He tapped the table. "Alright, let's talk business."

"Okay," Hong Chang said softly, acting like a well-behaved child.

Zhao Feng took a sip of tea. "Zhai Xiangyu called me."

"What did he say?" Hong Chang had returned to her normal self, putting the previous incident behind her.

Zhao Feng said, "He said we leave the morning after next."

"And then?"

"And then, Xiang Tao might be there too."

Hong Chang looked surprised. "Are you going to move against Xiang Tao?"

Zhao Feng shook his head. "No! As much as I want to kill him, I miss certain times just as much. So, I cannot kill him."

"What does that mean?"

"Nothing," Zhao Feng said.

"When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow. I'll make some arrangements, and then we'll head out."

"Good."

Zhao Feng looked at the moon in the sky and sighed inwardly. *Senior sister, where are you exactly? Why do I miss you more and more?*

After they parted ways, Zhao Feng returned home. He lay quietly on his bed, unable to sleep all night. When the first light of dawn spilled into the room, he sat up. He found a pair of tactical pants, a black windbreaker, and a 60L travel pack. Fully equipped, he looked like a special operations soldier preparing for a mission.

He didn't tell his family, leaving alone to meet up with Hong Chang. This time, it was just the two of them. They traveled to Shanghai and then transferred to a flight to Japan. And so, they set off on their journey.
