Chapter 72: Rush Forward and Devour Him Completely
Shen Chutang was momentarily stunned. Other than that one time when her master checked in on them and they shared a kiss, they hadn’t had any intimate contact since. Once she realized what had happened, she immediately pushed Lu Beiqin away. “What are you doing!”
Lu Beiqin stood up, his eyes as deep and unreadable as ever. “If you don’t like it, then don’t get close to me so easily next time.”
With that, he turned and walked toward his room, leaving Shen Chutang standing there, dazed.
She hadn’t even gotten angry, but it was Lu Beiqin who was acting all moody!
Fuming, Shen Chutang stomped back to her room and called Ye Pianpian to complain.
“He kissed you?!” Ye Pianpian exclaimed.
Lying on her bed and hugging her pillow, Shen Chutang replied, “Yes! Isn’t he just too much?”
Ye Pianpian could hardly believe it. “With a beauty like you around, he managed to hold back for so many days? Don’t you think there might be something wrong with him?”
“Ye Pianpian, what are you thinking about? Our relationship is very pure!” Shen Chutang protested.
“Pure as in, you got the certificate kind of pure?”
Shen Chutang fell silent, clutching her phone as she lay on the bed. “What do you think he’s up to?”
Ye Pianpian spoke earnestly. “My dear Tangtang, you don’t need to ask me. Ask yourself—when he kissed you, did you want to tear him apart, chop him into pieces, and throw him into a vat of oil?”
“It… wasn’t quite that bad,” Shen Chutang admitted.
Ye Pianpian clapped her hands. “Then did your heart race, your pupils dilate, and maybe even think it didn’t feel so bad?”
Shen Chutang didn’t respond.
Ye Pianpian pressed on. “Is he tall? Handsome? Does he have abs you can feel?”
“Um, yes, probably,” Shen Chutang muttered.
Ye Pianpian was excited. “Then what are you hesitating for? Go and devour him! The timing, the place, and the people are right—sister, opportunities like this don’t come twice!”
Stifling the urge to roll her eyes, Shen Chutang said, “Ye Pianpian, I think you should quit modeling and become a salesperson.”
Ye Pianpian chuckled. “So, are you tempted?”
“Thank you so much. Goodbye!” Shen Chutang ended the call, then buried her head in her pillow, unconsciously touching her lips.
They still tingled—a little numb, probably swollen.
When Lu Beiqin had leaned in, that mature and overbearing masculinity overwhelmed her, yet she hadn’t felt repulsed at all… Could it be she liked Lu Beiqin?
Impossible. Absolutely impossible!
Neither of them spoke for the rest of the night, and the next morning, Shen Chutang left for school early by herself, not needing him to drive her.
Back in her office, Shen Chutang started grading the Z class’s test papers from the previous day. Now, every evening self-study session, aside from regular studying, the students had to complete a set of test questions.
These tests were specially created by the teachers—some focused on multiple choice, some on fill-in-the-blanks, others on geometry, and so on. The exam lasted half an hour, forcing them to improve their speed in solving problems.
After half an hour, the teacher would take ten minutes to grade the tests and twenty minutes to analyze the results.
The first night was a disaster—red corrections everywhere, with hardly a trace of the correct black ink.
After several days of hard work, there was finally some improvement.
Shen Chutang carefully sorted the test papers, then stepped into the classroom for a look.
The students were now very attentive in class. They all understood that they had fallen behind and needed to listen carefully to catch up.
Before long, she was summoned to the principal’s office by a call from another teacher.
When Shen Chutang arrived, the office was crowded with parents—almost every parent from Class A was present.
“Principal, I trusted you and the school, so I enrolled my child here. But look at this—a woman who hasn’t even graduated from high school is now teaching! Isn’t this harming our children?” one parent demanded.
“My child worked so hard to get into this school—not to be used as a test subject for this kind of teacher!” another accused.
“Principal, look at this—our parent group received these photos. This teacher, Shen Chutang, is entangled with local thugs. She’s clearly a hidden danger!”
“Exactly! A teacher who doesn’t focus on teaching, but hangs around with shady youths, is the biggest problem. We demand she be dismissed!”
“She doesn’t deserve to teach our children!” another voice echoed.
The principal wiped the sweat from his brow as he tried to calm the crowd. “Please, everyone, let’s stay calm. Teacher Shen Chutang was personally recommended by Professor Wei Dingshui, a renowned mathematics professor from Peking University. Even if I invited her myself, she might not have accepted. She’s here to help educate Z class. Even if there’s any impact, it won’t affect Class A’s students, so please rest assured.”
“That’s not how it works!” protested another. “One bad apple spoils the barrel. How do we know what tricks this teacher might play behind our backs?”
“My daughter told me this teacher didn’t even graduate high school. If people like her can teach here, what will happen to the school’s standards? The rules must not change!”
The speaker was Mrs. Qian, Qian Zihan’s mother. The moment she learned her daughter had been bullied, she was furious—her daughter was always so well-behaved; it had to be the teacher’s fault!
Moreover, Qian Zihan had shown her mother the photos—this teacher had dealings with delinquents, making her a problem teacher through and through!
