Chapter 123: Five Million—Is This Speaking on Her Behalf?

Shen Tingting felt guilty, but she reassured herself that her earlier concealment had been discreet enough that no one should have seen it. Shi Hanhan was being carried into the manor by Shi Shaoxun. A cold smile curled on Shen Tingting’s lips. Ha! She still couldn’t get the better of her!
Shen Chutang slowly walked over, her gaze icy. “Shen Tingting, is bullying others your usual brilliant method?”
Shen Tingting feigned ignorance. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Shen Chutang glanced at her, then stood and walked into the manor. After all, Shen Tingting had been hurt because of her, so she couldn’t just ignore it.
Inside the room, Shi Shaoxun carefully applied medicinal wine to Shi Hanhan’s wound.
Shi Hanhan pouted, “It looks bad.”
“But it will help your wound heal faster.”
“Hanhan, how are you feeling?”
When Shi Hanhan looked up, she saw Shen Chutang had arrived and immediately shook her head. “I’m fine.”
Shen Chutang took out a small porcelain jar from her waist pouch. “How about using my medicine? It can speed up the healing.”
Shi Hanhan’s eyes lit up instantly. “Okay!”
After all, it was Shen Chutang who had cured the serious illness Shi Hanhan once had, so she had complete trust in her.
Shi Shaoxun naturally stood and made room beside them.
“Brother, you can go about your business. Having Sister Chutang here is enough.”
Shi Shaoxun nodded. “If there’s any problem, remember to come to me.”
“Okay!”
Shen Chutang opened the jar and sprinkled the powder onto Shi Hanhan’s wound. Immediately, a cool sensation spread over the injury, and it didn’t hurt at all.
Moreover, the powder was colorless and tasteless, and applying it didn’t make the wound look unsightly.
Shi Hanhan couldn’t help but exclaim, “Sister Chutang, you’re amazing.”
“It’s nothing.”

“Sister Chutang, I was tripped just now.”
Shen Chutang nodded. “I guessed as much.”
“But it’s such a small matter, I won’t tell Brother. I don’t want him to worry or fight for me all the time. I can’t always rely on him.”
Shen Chutang finished applying the medicine and stood up. “Hmm, it seems Hanhan has grown up.”
Shi Hanhan felt a little shy. “Hehe, I think so too.”
Outside the manor, Bai Yajing approached Shen Tingting. “Second Miss Shen, do you have a moment? I’d like to speak with you privately.”
Shen Tingting looked at her. “Who are you?”
Bai Yajing smiled slyly. “I’m someone who shares a common enemy with you.”
She had clearly witnessed the earlier discord between Shen Tingting and Shen Chutang. It seemed that Shen Chutang was truly out of favor.
Earlier, Bai Yajing had been mocked by Shen Chutang, causing the diamond bachelor she had painstakingly courted to slip away. Naturally, she was unwilling to accept this.
The two of them walked out of sight of others before Shen Tingting asked, “What do you mean by that?”
“I don’t like Shen Chutang either,” Bai Yajing said. “Today, she made a scene here, gained enough attention, and even got cozy with the Crown Prince. Do you want tomorrow’s headlines to be all about the Crown Prince and her?”
“Of course not!”
Bai Yajing’s eyes glinted with malice. “Then we must make her lose face completely in front of the Crown Prince. Only then will he ignore her!”
Shen Tingting’s eyes sparkled. “Do you have a good plan?”
“We’ll lure her to the fountain, then step on her skirt and push her into the water. She’ll be soaked and embarrassed, completely exposed. I don’t believe the Crown Prince will still be interested in a woman who’s been seen like that!”
Shen Tingting’s eyes shone brightly. “Great!”
Unbeknownst to them, someone was hiding behind a pillar, overhearing every word.
Shen Chutang, having just applied medicine to Shi Hanhan, saw Shen Tingting and Bai Yajing walking together.
Those two getting together definitely meant trouble.

Shen Chutang followed them briefly and overheard their secret plot.
Since they wanted to play dirty, Shen Chutang was more than willing to oblige.
The banquet was in full swing. Shen Chutang appeared casually, pretending nothing was amiss. Spotting the Crown Prince nearby, she confidently approached him. “Still busy?”
“Not busy. Just bored.”
Shi Shaoxun, standing nearby, stifled a laugh and stepped back a few paces. Who said he wasn’t busy? A whole crowd was waiting in line to see him!
Shen Chutang shook her head. “Nothing much. I just wanted to have a drink with you.”
The Crown Prince raised an eyebrow but still handed her a glass of wine.
Shen Xuejun, upon learning that the woman who’d just danced with the Crown Prince was Shen Chutang, couldn’t hide his excitement. He wanted to announce to everyone that she was his daughter!
Seeing Shen Chutang standing beside the Crown Prince, Shen Xuejun immediately approached. “Chutang, you know the Crown Prince? Why didn’t you tell me?”
Shen Chutang hadn’t expected to attract the two fish—instead, Shen Xuejun showed up.
Shen Xuejun extended his hand to the Crown Prince. “Hello, I’m Chutang’s father, Shen Xuejun. I hope we can have many opportunities to cooperate in the future.”
The man lowered his eyes briefly and asked, “Is Shen Tingting also your daughter?”
Shen Xuejun beamed with joy. Could it be the Crown Prince was interested in both at once?
“Yes!”
“It seems Mr. Shen’s way of raising his daughters is quite special. Miss Shen is well-mannered and intelligent, but the younger one is vain. Mr. Shen, you might have to be stricter with her.”
Shen Xuejun felt a burning heat on his face and forced a smile. “You’re right.”
Shen Chutang looked at the man in surprise—was that five million speaking up for her?
