Chapter 63: I’ll Make Sure You Can’t Survive in the Capital
In an instant, Shen Chutang’s mind went completely blank. She lay on the ground, unable to move. Desperately, she tried to rise, but even moving a single finger seemed impossible.
Jiang Han, holding a stun gun, grinned smugly. “You haven’t fainted yet? Good. Let her watch closely how we brothers treat her with care.”
He had come prepared—with both a fishing net and a stun gun—determined not to let Shen Chutang escape so easily this time.
Her gaze was sharp and fierce, but she could do nothing.
“Take her away!”
Just then, the dim alley was suddenly flooded with light. Everyone instinctively shielded their eyes.
Once their vision adjusted, they saw a taxi parked at the entrance of the alley.
Lu Beiqin stepped out, his tall figure silhouetted against the light, radiating a powerful, oppressive presence.
His eyes swept over Shen Chutang lying on the ground, his long, cold gaze narrowing, a hint of ruthless menace flickering within.
He lifted his eyes to the men gathered in the alley, his voice icy. “Was this your doing?”
Jiang Han felt intimidated by the man’s overwhelming aura, though the stranger’s face was unfamiliar.
Seeing the battered taxi, Jiang Han instantly looked down on him.
“I advise you not to meddle, or I’ll make sure you never survive in Jing City!”
Lu Beiqin’s lips curled into an amused smile, yet his dark eyes glittered with bloodthirsty chill. Calmly, he pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.
To Jiang Han, this was pure provocation.
“Brothers, teach him a lesson! Let’s see if he dares to interfere again!”
Four men surged toward Lu Beiqin. Among them, the one called Shui was fastest, reaching Lu Beiqin first. Before he could throw a punch, Lu Beiqin kicked him violently, sending him flying five or six meters!
Shui immediately curled up, clutching his stomach, writhing in pain.
The others attacked, but Lu Beiqin handled them with effortless ease.
Jiang Han grew anxious, barking, “Get the net!”
Someone quickly snatched up the fishing net from the ground, attempting to trap Lu Beiqin as they had Shen Chutang.
To their surprise, the net was instantly sliced apart by a sharp blade. Jiang Han, holding the stun gun, hadn’t even made a move before Lu Beiqin seized his wrist!
“Let go of me, now!”
Jiang Han tried to pull back, but the man’s strength was immense—he couldn’t budge him at all.
“Do you know who I am? How dare you treat me this way? Let me tell you, this woman is just an unloved daughter of the Shen family. And you’re just a taxi driver. If you dare to teach me a lesson today, I’ll make sure you never find footing in Jing City!”
Jiang Han clearly underestimated Lu Beiqin, growing ever more arrogant. “Let me tell you, I’m from the Jiang family. Losing your job is a matter of one word from me! Kneel down and beg for forgiveness, and maybe I’ll spare your life!”
Lu Beiqin laughed with disdain. “Spare my life?”
“That’s right. What, you think you, a taxi driver, can act tough?”
Jiang Han thought he had cowed Lu Beiqin; he jabbed at Lu Beiqin’s chest. “People like you don’t deserve to stand before me!”
Lu Beiqin’s eyes flashed with fury. The next moment, Jiang Han’s screams echoed through the alley—his finger had been forcibly broken!
Lu Beiqin shoved the cigarette into Jiang Han’s mouth, and before he could spit it out, activated the stun gun. Jiang Han collapsed instantly.
Shen Chutang hadn’t expected Lu Beiqin to be so formidable, handling so many men with ease. Yet her body was still paralyzed, powerless.
Lu Beiqin approached her, immediately helping her up. “Are you alright?”
Shen Chutang’s constitution was peculiar; compared to ordinary people, she recovered quickly. She spoke weakly, “I’m fine.”
Her body was still physically stiff, unable to move.
Just then, the man called Shui, who had somehow managed to stand, pulled a fruit knife from his pocket.
While Lu Beiqin’s attention was focused on Shen Chutang, Shui raised the knife, aiming to stab him!
Shen Chutang’s eyes widened in alarm. “Watch out!”
