Chapter One Hundred and Eight: Lei Wanchou
Thunder Hall, the Fourth Hall’s camp.
“Beauty, have you hidden well? Big brother is coming to catch you!”
A man with a tuft of beard on his chin, hair disheveled, a black cloth blindfolding his eyes, wore a lecherous grin as he began chasing several women around the room.
Four fair-faced women darted around him, and one deliberately teased, “Come catch me then!”
Hearing this, the man lunged forward swiftly and grabbed the woman in his arms. She tried to dodge but was caught squarely.
Feigning struggle for a moment, she intentionally leaned into his embrace. The man caught the familiar fragrance and immediately knew who she was. Then he lifted the blindfold from his eyes.
The man was Lei Wanchou, the leader of the Fourth Hall.
He was also one of the elders of Thunder Hall. Aside from those who had died or been replaced, he held the highest prestige within the Hall.
Even the Hall Master had to show him respect. The First and Third Halls looked up to him unquestioningly, as if they were all parts of the same body and shared the same breath.
If it weren’t for Lu Qianxue, who carried the late Hall Master’s last will to install her foster father as the new Hall Master,
Lei Wanchou, regardless of how many obstacles he had to kill, would have risked everything to become the new Hall Master himself.
When the new Hall Master ascended and it was time to unify the Halls and submit the tiger token fragments, only Lei Wanchou hesitated stubbornly, refusing to hand his over.
Later, when the new Hall Master secluded himself to cultivate and broke through his true energy to the Grandmaster realm, Lei Wanchou, intimidated by his power, showed him utmost respect.
Holding the captured beauty in his arms, Lei Wanchou openly kissed her face in front of the other brothers in the room without any shame.
The woman let out a shy whimper, raising a delicate fist to gently tap his chest.
Then Lei Wanchou, one arm around one beauty, his hands wandering restlessly, caressed her slender waist as he led them back to his throne draped with tiger skin.
The other two beauties brought fruit plates and knelt beside him, feeding him fruit and wiping his sweat.
Just then, a subordinate dragged a woman into the room and brought her before Lei Wanchou. She was a newcomer they had captured from the streets just yesterday, still possessing some semblance of beauty.
The woman’s face was bruised and swollen, having been beaten into fear. Seeing Lei Wanchou, she immediately knelt and kowtowed, begging for mercy.
“Sir, please spare me! I have a husband, an elderly mother at home, and a newborn child. I beg you to let me go.”
Her pleas did not stir the slightest pity from Lei Wanchou. He leisurely picked up a cup of wine and sipped it slowly as he gazed upon the woman broken beneath him.
Halfway through his drink, he handed the cup to the beauty beside him, then bent down, placing a hand under the woman’s chin to lift her head and face him directly.
Indeed, aside from the tear-streaked, slightly swollen red eyes and some dust, her face was still quite beautiful with some grooming.
Feigning sympathy, Lei Wanchou traced her chin and felt the roughness on her cheek where she had been struck. Leaning close, he whispered softly in her ear, “Does it hurt?”
The woman instinctively nodded, then quickly shook her head.
She dared not speak the truth, fearing that confessing would only bring worse beatings.
“Tell me, who hit you?”
Lei Wanchou pulled her up and made her sit beside him, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. The woman tried to shy away but bit her lip, seeming to give up resistance.
She remained silent. The man who struck her was sitting in the room, no doubt nervous and restless.
“Don’t be afraid. Tell me, and I’ll make him pay!”
Lei Wanchou buried his face in her back, inhaling deeply. The woman clenched her thighs tightly, unable and unwilling to resist.
Previously, a sister with whom she had been confined had been taken away. When she returned, her eyes were vacant, and she said nothing, crouching silently in a corner.
She knew that woman must have suffered unspeakable torment. If it were her, she might have long since chosen death to prove her will, lacking the courage to live on or face her family.
“It was him!”
The woman’s emotions steadied as she pointed toward a table in the room. A subordinate was holding a beauty in his arms, forcing her to drink, pretending to remain calm.
Seeing her gesture towards himself, the man panicked, dropping the wine jug to the floor. His eyes darted nervously, clearly aware of what Lei Wanchou might do to him.
“Bring him here!”
“Yes.”
Lei Wanchou ordered, and two subordinates rose, swiftly grabbing the man who was about to flee and brought him before Lei Wanchou.
The man immediately panicked, falling to his knees with a thud, repeatedly slapping his own face.
Lei Wanchou then ordered them to hold him down and pressed his hitting hand onto the ground. He grabbed a knife from the table and slashed down.
The beauties nearby screamed and closed their eyes in fear. The previously captured woman turned pale and trembled uncontrollably, finding Lei Wanchou terrifying.
Watching the man scream in agony like a slaughtered pig after losing a hand, she felt a pang of guilt, blaming herself for causing his fate.
Blood splattered across Lei Wanchou’s face, now a terrifying crimson. Coupled with his signature grin, the woman shuddered, feeling as if she faced a demon.
Returning to his seat, Lei Wanchou grabbed the wine jug with his bloodied hand and handed it to the woman to drink. Perhaps knowing she couldn’t escape and fearing his wrath, she resigned herself.
She took the jug, hesitated briefly, tears of helplessness and apology for her husband welling from the corners of her eyes, then took a deep gulp.
Almost immediately, she choked and coughed violently, spitting it all out. Lei Wanchou admired her tenacity and was fond of her, pulling her into his embrace as he laughed heartily.
The subordinates joined in,I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
