Chapter 91 Polishing
Compared to Erika's astonishment and bewilderment, Chris and Kurona's reactions were far less intense. As for Chris, Feren had no idea what she was thinking. This taciturn young woman often seemed like a shadow, her presence barely detectable. Kurona, however, was still just a child. Though she had grown up in the wilderness, her essential nature remained unchanged, filled with boundless curiosity toward anything new.
"So... may I ask what kind of education we are to receive?"
Unable to resist or protest, Erika could only reluctantly surrender and inquire. Upon hearing the question, Miss Yue narrowed her eyes and glanced at them before tapping her tobacco pipe.
"It's quite simple. It is an education to transform you into women."
"Huh? ... Huh?!"
The three of them were momentarily stunned. Immediately, a flush of red spread across Erika's fair face.
"W-wait... Does that mean... but we are warriors, not..."
"Before being a warrior, you are first and foremost a woman."
Miss Yue coldly swept Erika with her gaze and cut off her protest.
"But now, aside from your outward appearance resembling that of a woman, there is nothing else about you that connects to the word 'woman' at all. In essence, right now you are no different from this stone statue."
As she spoke, Miss Yue extended her hand to tap the sculpture standing beside her.
"Other than appearing somewhat presentable, it possesses no use whatsoever."
"Hmm..."
Though as a warrior she did not dwell on gender, the cold dismissal of her existence still stung Erika. Yet she was not one to submit after defeat, so she retorted with a stiff neck.
"Then what exactly do you intend to turn us into?!"
"First, I want you to see a model of a woman... um, from your appearance, you are all white people, so follow the path over there..."
Here, Miss Yue paused, then clapped her hands and continued, "Come over, Catherine, Alice."
"Understood, Miss Yue."
Accompanying Miss Yue's summons was a soft, seductive voice. The tightly closed doors swung open, and a woman emerged. The moment Erika and her sisters laid eyes on the woman before them, their faces flushed crimson.
No wonder they reacted this way; the woman before them was dressed far too shamefully. She appeared no older than her mid-twenties. She wore nothing but a white lace suspender lingerie that clung to her form. Her body, with its full and curvaceous proportions, looked exceptionally alluring beneath the sheer silk. The graceful lines of her full, long legs, enveloped in white suspender stockings, stirred the heart and soul.
The woman named Catherine approached them with a smile, step by step, her chest heaving with each movement. The sight made Erika's eyes widen and her face burn, her inner voice screaming in shame. Even Chris frowned and turned away, unwilling to gaze upon the figure before her. Only Kurona's eyes remained wide, filled with curiosity as she studied Catherine, clearly puzzled.
"Are these them?"
Approaching Miss Yue, Catherine licked her lips with her tongue, then narrowed her eyes and smirked wickedly at Erika and the others.
"Virgins, all of them... How delightful. Hehe, what a waste of such a figure."
"Hmph..."
Erika let out a cold hum at Catherine's mockery. She found the woman's attire utterly distasteful, yet had to admit the other was indeed beautiful—not merely in appearance, but radiating a magnetic charm that could captivate souls. Every glance, every gesture seemed infused with magic capable of seducing others. Even though she was also a woman, hearing Catherine's voice and seeing her movements made Erika's heart skip. The woman showed no sign of being a user of abilities or anything extraordinary, yet commanded attention effortlessly.
Miss Yue paid no heed to Erika's rudeness. She simply looked at Catherine and asked, "Alice?"
"Here, Miss Yue."
A lively voice answered, and soon another girl appeared. She looked a little older than Kurona. Like her, the newcomer wore an elaborate Western dress and carried a parasol, her golden-blonde curls cascading down in a playful, endearing manner. Compared to the seductive Catherine, she embodied the cute and moe aesthetic.
She bounded over like a rabbit, spinning to examine the three of them thoroughly from top to bottom before pouting.
"Ah... These virgins aren't anything special. Why bother Miss Yue guiding them personally?"
"They were brought by the doctors."
For some reason, Erika and the others noticed that upon hearing the word "doctor," the eyes of the two women shifted from disdain to a complex mix of envy, curiosity, and sympathy. What could this mean?
"Did the doctors sell them to us?"
"Not exactly. We merely asked for their help with the education."
"Oh............"
Catherine and Alice responded in unison with a thoughtful "oh." Though their expressions remained unchanged, the tone carried a trace of melancholy, suggesting regret, relief, or something else entirely. Alice soon pouted in disdain.
"Just like this? What right do you have to follow the doctors?"
"At least I'm far more capable than you!"
Erika could no longer hold back and retorted. Upon hearing this, Alice raised an eyebrow, smiled faintly, and twirled her parasol while casting a contemptuous glance at Erika before pouting once more.
"Tch. How capable are you? Surviving a month out there is already impressive. Are you a user of abilities? Hmph... A capable fool is destined to die sooner or later..."
"Absurd!"
Knowing she was being taunted, Erika could not remain silent. She could not tolerate being dismissed so casually by these pampered women. How had they survived in the wilderness? Braving wind and rain, crawling through mud was their daily reality. To live, they had ventured into the midst of corpses or lairs of mutated creatures at the risk of death. Yet what could these delicate women accomplish? With their slender arms and legs, they could hardly lift a gun.
"Whether it's absurd or not will become clear soon enough."
Alice's eyes gleamed with eager anticipation. She glanced at the bored woman leaning against the wall, smoking her pipe, and asked with a smile, "Miss Yue, no objection if we teach these virgins some 'manners'?"
"None at all."
Upon hearing the request, Miss Yue knocked her pipe, yawned, and leaned against the wall.
"Don't kill them."
"Of course."
After receiving confirmation, Alice's eyes narrowed like a fox. She raised her right hand and crooked her finger at Erika.
"Come on, barbarian. Let this lady see just how capable you are."
To be continued.
